Yep, you got it, it's wasted food
According to NRDC, " almost 40 percent of the food today goes uneaten." 40 percent! That is almost half of the food! One example of wasted food ( not as big as that ) is Forest Park Middle School; apples milk cartons and vegetables pile the trash up. As a result of this, janitors and lunch ladies are left cleaning up everyone's mess while kids enjoy recess?! According to EPA.gov, about 95 percent of the food we throw away ends up in landfills!" They soon followed up on that saying they disposed of 38 million tons of food in 2014. So I guess you could say the wasted food has some impacts. Even a graph noted that 22 percent of wasted food goes into the fresh fruits and vegetable category which have the most health benefits to humans. Yet, only 8 percent of the population marked processed veggies on the same graph. Does this mean the wasted food is wasted because of taste
