Our high school has a reputation of being academic driven, being the top school in our district our students are often under a lot of pressure to do well. They derived a mindset that focused on always receiving a high grade and not enjoying high school for what it is.This toxic mentality can only become detrimental to a student’s psychological health, causing breakdowns and unwanted stress. To alleviate this I joined the Associated Student Body for my high school, I wanted to break school culture and have my peers flourish in a better environment which demonstrates students should be top priority, not just their test scores.
