Walking the halls with confidence, taking it in all that the atmosphere has to offer. Observing the older crowd to see how they interact with each other on a daily basis. Sure there are a select few of upper classmen that look down on freshman but it’s something that eventually passes. In high school children find who they are and who they want to be. During the four years children are supposed to grow as a young adults and set goals for the future. High school the step before college to prepare the children for the mature college environment. Each year effects the student body, there are changes in social and academic affairs. As they go on they begin to realize that their grade will affect their future and the students become more serious about their work. Also in high school people begin to friend who their real friends are. In high school classes take up to thirty hours or more a week. Class attendance is monitored closely and the teachers are willing to help if assistance is needed. Time management in high school is structured and less stressful. High school has a limited amount of activities for students to participate in. Also at high school students spend little time studying and have no control of class schedule. In college classes take up about 16 hours of the week. Classes are not monitored, the professors could care less if the student shows up because it the students responsibility. If a student needs help they are expected to approach the professor during office hours for extra help. In college learning is self-taught and students create their own class schedules. College has a great amount of social activities and parties for students to enjoy which also can become a distraction from
