High school teachers tend to be drastically lenient then professors. Examples of teacher’s leniency would be supplying information to students when they aren’t in class and letting a student enter the classroom if they were late. According to Reality Check, “Teachers often take time to remind you of assignments and due dates,” but “Professors expect you to read, save and consult the course syllabus” (Reality Check). Syllabus are basically a guide for students and professors feel as if students are adults which why they should be reminded of their assignments. There are some college professors who would shut the door within 5 minutes of class starting. Usually high teachers are more sympathetic and give students a pass for tardiness. Another area where teachers are lenient are in there grading policy. Both teachers and professors have grading policies, and grading scales. Homework and research papers for teachers are simple. Unlike professors who tend to have arduous assignments. Test in college account for majority of one’s grade while, homework are usually the majority of students grades.
