Being in a high school again is the nightmare of some, for others it’s their dream career. Teaching might be a struggle due to dealing with different minds and attitudes at the same time is overwhelming but having a bond with the students knowing their lives were changed helps overcomes that struggle. High school teachers help students from children to young adults prepare themselves for what’s next on their lives. High school teachers can also work in different subjects not related to teaching like being a coach, or in a school club and many more extracurricular activities to help students get their minds out of school. High school teachers usually get paid based on their median salary every year, “The median annual wage for high school teachers was $59,170 in May 2017. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less.” (Pay, Bureau of Labor Statistics) This means that the average teacher might be paid almost $60,000 on their first year of teaching. Teaching in high school has been growing even faster than predicted by professionals, The job applications for a high school teacher has grown a little less than 10% more than predicted and it will continue to grow at that rate over the next 8 years. (Job Outlook, Bureau of Labor Statistics) This is important because that means teaching is going to be growing and it means that it might stay for a long time to help young minds have a better brighter future with a decent education. Teachers also get paid based on what college diploma they own, “Newer teachers typically earn between $38,000 and $45,000 a year. In some states, those with a master's degree can earn over $50,000 a year to start.” (Earnings for a High school teacher, Career Cruising) This means that a high school teacher’s salary will be bigger if they have better experience at teaching or have a better diploma. Teachers also have to look which states have a better chance on employing them, In some states of the country teachers have a bigger chance of being employed like California have a bigger chance for being employed than any other state in America (Bureau of Labor Statistics) At last, teachers might not earn a huge amount of money but this is acceptable to have a stable
