My biggest interest throughout high school has been swimming. Before high school I never played any sports I was more of a video game kid. Going into high school I knew I wanted to join a sport to make friends because I had moved that summer to a new town that had better schools and more opportunities for me. I started high school knowing no one so I joined swimming to try and make friends. Little did I know that swimming would turn into much more than a recreational activity. Over the past two years I have pushed myself beyond what I thought my limits were and have proven myself and to those that doubted me that I am a good swimmer and I am committed. I have dropped over 30 seconds in my best event the 200 breaststroke. I have continuously dropped time at every meet and am now the 2nd best breaststroker on the team.
When I had to write this essay I knew exactly what to write about because swimming has been the biggest life changer I have had so far. The road is known as Junction Highway, and every place that has ever been important to me I have gotten to by using this road.
