as a society need people to not fear the “real world” but to welcome it with the confidence of
having all the knowledge that will be needed to succeed. Many students are dropping out of
highschool due to the fact that they no longer feel that they are being taught what is essential to
live, this is one of the main reasons that students are feeling stressed. Highschool students are
now showing higher stress levels than adults and there are few if any signs that schools are
working on reducing the stress.

The problem isn 't that students aren 't
doing well in school but that they aren 't getting the education that they believe is necessary to
survive in the “real world”. The problem is the order of priorities that the education system has,
students give up on the system and seek their own ways of learning that they believe is essential
to succeed.
Parents are just as much to blame as the education system for the lack of information
students are receiving about what they really need to know in order to survive. For decades the
same system has been used to educate the youth but times have changed and so should the way
teaching in both the home and school should change. The same teaching styles no longer work
and no one is doing anything about it, in order for progress in society teaching styles and subjects
need to change.
School systems need to change the order of priorities in order for students to feel like
they are learning essential skills. Teens are becoming overly stressed by not getting the education
which they know is very important for basic needs in the business world. Stress levels are
