I come from a small catholic high school in Lombard that has the population of around 700 students, so seeing the same people every day for four year gets old pretty fast. Although, Lewis isn’t the biggest University it is nice to see new faces and meet new people. One of the things that stuck with me from high school is I still like small classroom environments. It is much easier for me to understand what’s going on, and to also get that one on one time with the teacher. College takes up about 80% of my life, because I put it before a lot of other things. It’s hard to maintain good grades and a social life at the same time, so I have to choose between one or the other. Sometimes there’s weeks I forget to talk to my family, because I’m so overwhelmed with my classes. It’s hard to maintain relationships like in high school where you devote seven hours of your day to school and then the rest of the day you have to yourself and others. Maintaining a job can be difficult also Saturday is my only day off from class and I work with my dad from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then from there I go to my other job at the restaurant and I work at from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. so my whole day off is devoted to working.
