I remember not being excited to leave my friends but I was still young enough that I was looking forward to meeting new people, so the change did not have much affect on my life, or so I had thought. My brother on the other hand, was going to be in high school and he had to leave all his best friends, start at a new school with people who were not very welcoming to a student joining their friend group. This is where the first stereotype comes in, although this one is true for my story, I would have never thought finances played such a big role. Going to a school that was 20,000 dollars a year for me individually just to be in middle school immediately puts an image in your head of the types of people who attend a pristine school such as this. Long story short, the stereotypes you are thinking of in your head all too true. I was not welcome into their small community of 68 kids, and was severely bullied the four years I attended. The bullying was not prevalent in my brothers grade, he was much similar to them than I was with the kids in my grade, therefore, he thrived at our new school while I regretted every day of
