I decided to attend a LACES Boys High School Soccer game because this is where I once attended high school and wanted to see how the team was doing after graduating a couple years back. I was the captain of this team my senior year and led the team with goals and assists. There isn’t much of a promotion for this soccer game, unless it is a playoff game then they’d announce it in the morning during homeroom where the entire school listen’s to the daily announcements. Most of the promotion is done by ear, friends letting other friends know that they have a …show more content…
The game usually starts on time but sometimes can be late due to the referees not arriving on time. All the equipment works, there are multiple game balls, one next to each goalie and the ball that is in play. Everything seems to run mellow before arriving to the soccer game. The problem with the engagement is that the team isn’t that good and they do not win many games. When the team is winning, the environment is quite fun, and the game I attended LACES tied with a last minute goal, which was pretty exciting to watch. There aren’t any sponsors at this event since it is a small local high school. This also means that people aren’t really trying to get an audience to come unless its a playoff game of some

To Play or Not To Play???“Put Me in Coach” When people reminisce about their high school years, fond memories of being at the height of fitness, spending countless hours with teammates, and playing in the “Big Game” are often treasured. As a result, many are missing out on one of the most important aspects of their high school career. Although some believe that participation in high school athletics is a roadblock towards academic success and a satisfying social life, students should play at least one sport throughout high school because they will develop critical life skills and increase their physical…

However, what would happen if the aspects of college that you pictured were just erased because they aren’t important in a college experience. In the article Is College Doomed the author Graeme Wood describes a school that is fully based online where the only thing that is considered crucial in their student’s college experience is how good their education.
