Sitting there on the cold metal bleachers with the smell of popcorn in the air, I waited for the moment until he arrived at the game. Sixty-five agonizing days without him had passed and I was ready for our reunion. Five, ten, fifteen interminable minutes pass, and my excitement grew with every second that ticked by. His black, four door Denali pulls into the parking lot and that was the moment my nerves started to kick in. I could feel my blood rushing through my body and my palms started to sweat. The door opened and that was when I saw the curly blond hair, giant blue eyes, and the beautiful smile I had been missing. The hustle and bustle around me seemed to stop as I watched as he walked to the back of the car and banged on the window two times, signaling for his mom to open the trunk. As the game carried on he remained there patiently for the whole game until in the last two minutes it was finally his time to shine. The other team raced down the field for their chance to score. The opponent was getting closer and closer juking his way through the entire eleven man defense. He finally got close enough and decided to take his shot. The opponent rears back his right leg and took the shot. The black and white checkered ball began to spin in what seemed like slow motion. Levi was pitching, and is a really good pitcher. I will admit, Ethan wasn’t the greatest player in the world, but he definitely had one of the biggest hearts on the field. Even though Ethan wasn’t the best player, I still cheered him on from the on-deck circle. After a couple of pitches, somehow, Ethan hit the ball and got on first base. I came up to bat and Levi kept telling Ethan that his hit was nothing but luck.…
