High School Place Reflection

In order to earn the highest grade possible in any class is to stay positive throughout the school year. There are several things that I have thought of that will help me achieve an A in this course. First and foremost, there is one saying that I learned here at Johnson & Wales and that is the term, “Mise en place”, which means everything in its place. I believe this term doesn’t just take effect in a kitchen environment. This term is a lifestyle and many chefs live by this. It keeps your priorities in place and makes you an organized person. It can really change your perspective in any challenge that is thrown your way.
In order for me to maximize my chances for earning the highest grade, I need to be well prepared for the class and work as a team with everyone. Teamwork is key for this class. If one person starts to go downhill, it will drag everyone down as a team. We all need to work together, stay up on top, and no slacking. I am going to look back on other classes that I have taken that were similar to this one and pick out the challenges that faced me in that class. And having those in mind will prepare me to focus strongly on them in order to improve myself in that area. Another good thing that helps me is having the syllabus printed out and with me at all times. Just having it printed out is one thing, but familiarizing myself with it and knowing due

I am looking forward to this class and progressing forward. If at anytime I feel lost in the class, I will do everything I can to seek help, whether that would be consulting my group members, to asking the professor, or even just looking back at this paper. All of my work will follow #6 of the tools of success. Professor Jarvie will proof read all of my work for clarity, professionalism, and grammar. This needs to be done days before and work is physically

It has come to my knowledge that there is a limited amount of spots in the ENG 102 class for next semester. I am one of the best candidates to continue into ENG 102 and thrive in Ms. Laduca’s learning environment. Although I do not fear that I have not already earned my spot, I will proceed to justify my case. I have been an adroit student of Ms. LaDuca’s for the last year and a half; she knows exactly what kind of student I am. Since seventh grade, I have been an ebullient honors student in the top ten percent of the 2016 cohort and have not received any grades lower than an A. I always exceed expectations, put in 110% of my effort, and achieve and maintain excellent grades at the same time.…

This reflection will be in response to the field experience that was completed on the 12th of November, 2015 by Matthew Daykin. For my High School field experience, I attended Palmetto Ridge High School and observed both Mrs. Zacher’s ninth grade English class and Mrs. Reid’s ninth grade Science and Math classes. Palmetto Ridge High School (A.K.A. “The Ridge”) is a grade 9-12 school located in Naples, Florida. The Ridge has a total of 1,865 students; 46.33% of the students are listed as identifying as White, 7.29% are listed as identifying as Black, 40.8% of the students identify as Hispanic, 1.39% of the students identify as Asian, 2.63% identify as Indian, 1.29% identify as Multi-Racial, while only 0.27% identify as Hawaiian or Pacific Islander (“Palmetto Ridge High (PRH) School”, 2015). I believe my first lesson during this field experience came about a week before I actually completed my field experience at this location.…

As a student in Critical Reading and Writing 111, I am expected to analyze arguments and write about them in a clear, well-formed, and well-supported essay. By the end of the course, I should be able to formulate essays that defend my own position in an argument through the process of drafting and revision. The “They Say/I Say” structure of argument should be considered and used throughout each time I write to express my own side, without overpowering the other side of the argument. I should anticipate a minimum of thirty pages per week to read and am expected to have at least two hours of outside work for every hour spent in class, adding up to at least six hours of work per week. Every writing assignment is mandatory and must be completed and handed in on time.…

The class I’m going to prepare for is AP Human Geography. To prepare I’m going to use Quizlet; this will help me get my vocabulary down so I can ace the vocab quizzes. I feel that if I can do better on those quizzes, then my overall grades should go up by at least 10 points. The next thing I need to learn how to do is how to take notes that will help me on chapter tests. If I can nail both of those issues then I should be at a high A.…

Self-Evaluation Clearly, evaluating is the best way to make a judgment about how much you have learned. However, the evaluation must be by yourself because you can measure your own progress. Therefore, I, an enrolled student in ESL 103-104 courses at Essex County College, will evaluate my progress in this class in terms of my positive aspects, my difficulties, and my achieved growths. First of all, the positive aspects of my experience in this class have been numerous. First of all, I learned valuable lessons.…

Another thing you must remember is to have all the required text books for this class because throughout the class there are going to be groups that are going to cover and present to the class certain chapters of these books. Which brings me to my next piece of advice, if you have worked in a group before in another org. leadership class, then I suggest that you team up with someone in the class that you are comfortable, or familiar with. For me I did not have that privilege, it made teaming up with someone rather hard. Also not knowing that person, or the group made it hard to connect with each other because we did not have each other’s information.…
