High School Persuasive Speeches

No matter how much someone hates high school, I think everybody will miss a piece of it when it's over. High school is filled with drama, love, tears, hatred, and many more emotions. We gain friends and we lose friends. Some people are involved in so many things, and some people aren't involved in anything. Regardless of all of that, high school is supposed to be the best four years of someone's life, but in a blink of an eye it is over.
Fort Madison high school has a numerous amount of cliques I would say. The main cliques are the athletes, choir, and band students. The sport teams at Fort Madison lift. We lift all summer and we dedicate our summers to the sports we play. Choir practices almost every night. They go to shows and concerts.

Most of our teachers are young. We have teachers that are strict, but then we also have teachers that won't say a word if a student is twenty minutes late to class. I would say we have a pretty awesome staff, that actually wants to be here. Enough with all the good things, I'm going to let you know about the things we should fix about Fort Madison high school. First off, our lunch tastes like we dumpster dive and find what we can. We do not have enough choices, and our drink is so small, that we take one gulp and it's gone. Another thing about lunch time is that, kids at Fort Madison do not get enough time to eat. Twenty-five minutes to get a good meal in is way too short.
The last thing that we need to change about Fort Madison high school is simply the building. The building is old. Super old! It looks like it is about to collapse at any time. Fort Madison is a one floor school. In this one floor school, there are small classrooms with barely any air conditioning during the hot days of school. The hallways are so small that we look like a bunch of clowns trying to fit into a very small car. Now don’t let me forget to talk about the cockroaches crawling around everywhere, and I mean everywhere! They're in the classrooms, the locker rooms, and even the bathrooms! It is sad when students are so used to the cockroaches, and just ignore the fact that they are in the

The passing of prop 13 back in 1978 resulted in a lot of unintended causes for the school system. Some people felt indifferent about voting for the prop, with their reasoning being that they do not have any children. We need to be looking at the bigger picture though, regardless if those thirty something year olds do not have kids it will affect them in fifteen years when these children are sent out to the work field to attend them. The impact of socieeconomic status and poverty in the American education is tremendous and really cannot be missed. “In California right now, the average cost to support a prisoner for one year is 27,000 dollars, we have a little under 6,000 to support a student for a year” (“The Merrow Report: First to Worst”).…

If CCMS received one million dollars this is what I would improve the cafeteria, update the 7th and 8th grade wing, and sports. I would improve the cafeteria that way it could hold more people that way we don't have to have 1st and 2nd lunches. I would also improve the 7th and 8th grade wing because it's not really the best. First, I would improve the cafeteria. We need a bigger place to eat because everyone is all bunched up and it's way to crowded plus I think this might help other people that are claustrophobic.…

Schools are very important for students. In school, we can learn a lot of things, but students need the right teachers and the material to be successful in life and for a better education. Jean Anyon in “Social Class and The Hidden Curriculum of Work” shows that in some schools they don’t have the right teachers or material because of the economy or the neighborhood the schools are located. Also low-income people do not get the same education as people with a good economy.…

After reviewing my persuasive speech over why the University of Oklahoma is the best university in the nation, I would sum up my speech as a little bit of train wreck. Although I made good claims with factual evidence, the amount of stuttering I did, and all the times I was choked up throughout the speech drew my audience’s attention away. From this, I lost my audience’s belief that I was competent of the information I was reiterating to them. At the introduction of my speech I believe I started out fairly strong and gave a good run down of the coming speech.…

The school epitomized a 21st century trap house. The walls were marred with gang names and names of students who had been killed. The building was dilapidated and classrooms were overcrowded that some students had to sit on crates and use cardboard boxes for desks. The conditions of the school, however, did not deter the gifted students, who were hell-bent on getting a good education so they could move on to…

A lot of students do not like school lunches. Nothing against the lunch ladies ' ability to cook, but the options that come with school food are limited. It is a fact that at least one time a student has looked down at their tray and saw a slab of meat that looked like it came from a can of dog food. School lunch is unappetizing. It is super unfortunate if the food being served is something a student does not like.…
