Ms. Laura has great administrator support as well; the office staff at E.W. Grove was willing to give me an escort to the classroom. Ms. Laura has a great connection with the community, she is on the county’s fair board as well as having a close connection with the UT Extension services by being a volunteer leader, and she coaches for various judging teams. The one thing that both teachers have in common is their ability to use resources wisely and find connections to get help with needed supplies. For example, Mr. Coning was able to get several beer cases donated and shipped to their school to help his students package their customer’s plants.
