Hello Parents,
June has been a good month in our facility! We heightened our dancing skills, strengthened our balancing skills, celebrated our dad’s, grew together with partner games, and kicked off our camping week! I have targeted gross motor this month to get the child aware of their body’s strengths and how to use those strengths. There is little evidence to the naked eye of this month, but cognitively all children are growing in amazing ways! This month has been a wonderful kick off to this summer.
There has been a lot of change this month with employees. Michaela graduated high school and is off to bigger things. She has decided that working here would be nearly impossible with her busy schedule! Madeline had some family business that

I have fixed and polished everything she had suggested. I am relieved to have the initial visit over! I have received my registration, also. This means I am licensed to have up to twelve children now. I am very excited to have a little break from the state for a little while. It has been a stressful few months, but it has all been worth it!
I want to remind you all that we will be doing water activities. Each child should have a swim suit. If you have an extra that can stay in their lockers that is ideal. I do not what days we will do water activities because of the weather. I plan to have them outside as much as possible this summer. I have plenty of sun screen, but if there is a special one you want for your child please provide it.
This coming month we will be doing themes every week. This week we are doing camping. This will be full of camping experiences! Next week we will be diving into the ocean. We will learn who lives in the ocean and enjoying some themed food! We will also have plenty of sensory experiences. The following week we will get a closer look at some bugs. Then we will look into the rainforest and see what cool things we find. At the end of the month we will be pirates all week and travel through the ocean, see some bugs, and go to the rainforest! I am so excited to see what this month has in

The most memorable part of that week was when I got burned. It was pancake day. We had to make about 40 pancakes for the kids to eat. Since I was the only guy counselor in the group that week, I was tasked with making them on the griddles after the kids mixed the ingredients. I was moving the griddles over to the outlets to get ready for the batter.…

While rummaging through a drawer in search of an old photograph, I came across a picture of a teenage girl. Dressed in her navy and gold pep club uniform, she had positioned her pom poms so that they covered each hip. Her golden- blond hair swirled past her shoulders and as my eyes traveled downward I was shocked to see she had missing body parts--someone had taken a pair of scissors and cut her legs completely off. Tossing the photo aside, I continued my search. As I sifted through mountains of pictures I found more photos of this girl ranging in age from her teen years through motherhood.…

Today, I began my first day in the insurance/billing office observing two ladies call insurance companies and different patients to check their insurance benefits. First, I started off helping them file some invoices, consent forms, and verify benefits for certain procedures. Also, I got to go through old patient files to check for the patients that did or didn’t have a procedure done. After lunch, I started putting together patient information packets and prenatal care packets. Overall, I think today was a slow day for the office because a provider is out sick, one employee ended up getting fired, and two LPNs are sick.…
