I had the great pleasure of visiting Richmond City School Board meeting which was held at School Board Room, 17th Floor City Hall on December 7,2015 . He explains the general layout of the course along with the materials required for COMP106. The grading rubric, grade assignment point amounts, attendance policy, and assignment of teams are also covered in the first weeks Meet session. My experience at the school I attended for the school board meeting was very fascinating and exciting to learn about. I had a great time meeting the school board staff and learning about many different activites and important discussions about the school and how it is run. Most voters in the district attends a school board meeting. School board duties provides the means by which management and supervision find expression (school policies). Certainly, we all understand that under the circumstances the Summer Session is not the typical Summer School. We made some significant changes to the program and recommended that students meet with their instructors on June 20th and 21st to be proactive in setting up times for struggling students. I think last week meeting was very collaborative, but not as productive in terms of results. I wanted to follow up with our discussion and give you some updates. On September 6, 2016 I attended the Leaders in Family Education (LIFE) professional student organization meeting. The meeting was located in Matthews Hall 311, there we were told about the main goals of LIFE, how to join, and how we would benefit from participating in this organization. We also enjoyed a presentation on hearing loss vs. deafness lead by representatives from the Speech and Hearing Sciences program at UNT. I found out about this opportunity through my classes and thought that it sounded like a great first step into becoming involved with my major, which is Human Development and Family Studies. During planning meetings for projects, I was always allowed inside the room to observe and express my opinion. Richard Green relished the idea of having as many opinions as possible so that he could better the radio station. We had weekly meetings on Monday from 5pm-6pm and Wednesday from 1pm-2pm.
