Being a team captain as a senior requires a lot of dedication and commitment. It requires you to come to practice everyday with a good attitude and work ethic. Some days, that can be hard. There have been days where I have struggled with it, but my teammates remind me why we are all there. The other three seniors and I decided to start a leadership group. In our meetings, we talk about all the qualities of a good leader and what it takes to be one. Through this, I have learned that being a leader doesn’t mean you have to be the loudest and most encouraging person. Many leaders can be introverts and contribute to the team’s success in their own ways. This can be on or off of a court. I am also enrolled in a Leadership class at school and here we also talk about the characteristics of a good leader. We put on many school spirit activities such as community pep rallies, homecoming, prom, and much more. It is important that I learn about leadership now, so that when I get a job, it will be easy for me to contribute to my team at work or wherever I may
