High school is hard enough with the pressure of maintaining an above average GPA, extracurricular activities, a social life, and the responsibilities at home. The last thing any high school student wants or needs is to be the talk of the school because of an invasion of their privacy but it has happened to both males and females across the world. I’ve seen the outcome of what sexting leads to about two years ago. In my tenth grade homeroom, I always sat by the same girl every day. We never talked to one another because she hung with a different crowd that wasn’t quite friendly. Weeks after sitting by this young lady, I noticed how distant she became and how she no longer talked to her “so-called” friends. I soon found out that there were

The boys taunted her as if she was giving away sex now and the girls hated her because they believed she was messy and they were embarrassed to be seen with her. She soon stopped showing up to school and days later I found a picture of her with the letters R. I. P. Those involved in the bullying were shown that there are dire consequences for their actions. Sexting has dire consequences that can be manifested for a lifetime. Sexting over the years has been described as a wide variety of activities. Sexting is most commonly linked to the transmission and creation of sexual images of minors. The trouble of teen sexting has captivated an amorous attention of social outlets. Research shown in 2009 shows that one in five teens admits to having sent naked pictures of themselves or others over a cell phone. This has caused concern among educators, law enforcement officers, and most importantly parents. In reaction to these concerns, a different number of studies have conducted the dire consequence that advance when you are involved in sexting and what might have caused one to participate in sexting.
