High school is an up and down battle for a student. Being involved can sometimes be challenging between managing grades, family or social relationships, and extracurricular activities. In addition to this, senior year can especially be a stress filled year considering the life-altering decisions adults pressure students into. Yet, I have made it my mission to find a way to balance school, life, and staying involved. If I were not to push myself beyond just simply showing up at school I would never be as successful as I am today. To begin with, I will start with all of the school activities I have participated in through my junior and senior year of high school. First, I was elected as a representative for our student council. With this, I was responsible for raising money, assisting in the organization of school events, and getting out significant information to the student body. Secondly, I have also been a member of the Student Leadership Team at C-TEC for the past two years. I am most proud of my participation in this club. I say this because it has been an incredible learning experience. With being involved, I have grown to learn how to be a leader and embrace the qualities expected from a leader. I also got the chance to experience speaking in front of crowds and being someone who others follow.
