Students get lazy, it’s life, but what makes kids stress out the most is being held down with a heavy workload. This heavy workload is usually caused by students who just want to put stuff off until later because in their mind, they think they have the time and it will be easier. The sad truth is, it’s not easier. I have experienced troubles with procrastination because of factors such as sports and work, and even though I still find a way to get it done, it puts our body and mental health in danger. Procrastination can cause fatigue on to the human body. I have procrastinated on my work, and when it’s bound to be due , I stress to get it done and stay up until 2am to get it done. The bad part about it is that the one thousand word paper was assigned a month ago, and I easily could of prevented it. It seems as the generations get older, school gets harder on teens, more work, work outside of school and extracurricular activities. School is tough, there's no doubt about it. Some teachers just love to bombard kids with homework and classwork, but some classes have to do it, because they are advanced, or “AP”. As school gets harder on us teens, we begin to stress so much, getting to the point where we even lack sleep and for some students, depression. As I have gotten older, I’ve experienced a significant amount of stress in my life. Whether it’s sports, or just plain school I’ve had it, and trust me it’s not all worth it. A simple missing assignment doesn’t ruin your chances of going to college or graduating high school, or taking an Advanced placement class doesn’t make you smarter than anyone else, or anyone else smarter than you for that matter. If a student can’t handle a heavy workload, they shouldn’t take advanced classes because of the stress they endure, or if they can’t prioritize assignments or school , they should stay in the regular classes, because the stress you get is not worth an extra point you get on your GPA, whether it's an A or a C. I unfortunately learned that the hard way, and ever since, I’ve lightened my load, a lot. Say you do take an AP class and you don’t get credit for it because you know you couldn’t handle it but thought you might as well do it. So you don't get credit for a class
