It all began in middle school, a place for evolving, happy-go-lucky students like me. Inside of my particular school district, there was a peculiar love for high-end sports footwear. Having the best looking sneakers was every kid’s ambition, and it even sparked the yearning inside of me as well. I bought my first sneakers, the Air Jordan Five, with the cash I earned from chores and all those strenuous cuts from my daily lunch money. As I wore my shoes, people began to notice that I too owned flashy kicks. Then I discovered something tremendous, the process of exchanging of goods called trading. This cycle of reselling for higher prices would eventually lead to an overflow of inventory that would allow me to control the micro-economy that existed somewhat in my school. Fast forwarding to high school, the moment in life where ‘things got serious’, I had built an enormous inventory of footwear that was ready to be sold. After watching numerous YouTube videos, I acquired the skills and knowledge in coding I needed, and opened up my very first, online webstore. Business was slow at first, but as time progressed, more and more shoes began to sell. Ultimately, I would have to store more shoes to resell and thus my room looked very similar to the inventory that was stacked up in PayLess
