Throughout high school, I have been involved in many extracurricular activities which most certainly affected my academic performance. As a member of the varsity soccer team in my school, a Caring Partner in a nursing home, the leader of the Fitness Club and many other involvements, at times it was a challenge to perform to my full potential academically.. Being involved in these activities taught me that I had to work on my time management and set priorities for myself. Though the activities were very rewarding as I was exposed to a great body of people, in college, I vow to disallow the extracurricular activities affect my education. I am excited to go into college with such lesson and value in hand as it would direct me to the right path in becoming a very successful student.

As a low income student, the Education Opportunity Program would benefit me greatly financially and also academically. As the cost of college is continually on the rise, EOP would provide me with the opportunity to get a step closer to pursue my dream career as physical therapists and nurture me in becoming the best individual I can potentially be. From the extra academic help to the great body of individuals EOP would expose me to, this would indeed become a dream come

I also acted as a role model for my mentees by talking frequently about AP and Honors courses and how to be successful in such programs. I put effort into learning about each individual's interests and goals so that I could expose them to clubs and academic courses that they may appreciate such as the Biomedical Academy or our school’s robotics team.…
