High School Dropouts High school dropouts is becoming a serious problem in the United States. It’s causing a down on our economy. Kids drop out thinking they can go work and that will solve all their problems. Young adults apply for government assisted agencies like welfare and food stamps but they won’t work and expect to have everything handed to them and thats a problem. America will need over 2 million college graduates before 2020 to help run America. We need someone or something to help prevent high school dropouts in order to keep the U.S. running. Graduation rate in the United States is around 70%-80%. In low income and urban areas the graduation rate is lowered to about 50%.
