In early May of 2014, in the town of Northwest located in Denver Colorado white supremacy was shown in a racist form. Flyers were placed around the town saying “Get rid of poor Hispanics” “White power”, and “this neighborhood belongs to the whites now”. The flyers were directly aim at all Hispanics on the area, regardless of their social standing. The flyers express hate and discomfort with the Hispanic community but what was the real reason why they target Hispanics? LeFrebe explains to KMGH the reason why Hispanics are being target, is because of the following point “ the consist of the racial tension had been connected to gentrification, where more affluent white business and home owners had forced out poorer, longtime Hispanic residents.

The 3 major theories are apply in our everyday society explaining to us how today’s society influences people and their surroundings, the conflict theory sees the bad side of society and how most of the people are always in competition and the reason why there is a lot inequality from group to another. Hispanics are one of the biggest minority groups in the country, with over 10 billion people that make up Americas economic. Today Hispanics are being subjects of discrimination, this big issue ties in with the conflict theory. The conflict perspective explains the following, in America the main reason why white people fight over power with the Hispanics is because whites claim that all the Hispanics come and do is still their jobs. Jobs are a necessary resource to survive in the world, the jobs as the conflict theory explains is a resource that sometimes is limited to certain people causing conflicts between ethnic groups to obtain them. The conflict that is provoke between two groups usually ends up causing competition leading to one want group wanting power over another, this is the main reason why racism is built and why there is a big gap in between a lot of ethnicity groups.
