Back to my Grandma who took the time to establish a successful career and is now a successful hotel manager. It took a lot of hard work on her part, but rather than taking the time to go to college and then build the career she skipped straight to the career. The shortest amount of time you can spend in college and still get a college degree is 2 years and that is for an Associates degree. You could be using that time to build a career with a high school diploma. Studies have shown that only ⅓ of the students (33%) graduate with a Bachelor's degree on time. If you can have a successful career then why spend more money and take time away from your life to get a college

Currently, it seems as though less and less people agree about the value of a college education, and many aren’t going to college.
