The story takes place in south bay high school following a girl by the name of julia Divino who lost her mother at a young age and lives with her dad Tony Divino. She tells her experience of going to a high school full of gang members loyal to the crips and bloods. So far she explains that she tries to stay out of the conflict between the gangs by not joining a side her friends however are gang members known are Q and black chuck and melisha.
