Life in the 1960’s was a lot different than what it is in today’s world, especially in the southern states. The 1960’s was a time when the United States was switching from segregation to desegregation. For some towns desegregation was no problem at all and others not so much. Some towns needed the different race to prove that they were just as good for them to be accepted, and in a small town in southern Louisiana a winning football season would be the only thing that could do that. Call Me By My Name by John Ed Bradley told in Rodney’s point of view is a book about three friends Tater, who was an , Rodney and Angie, that despite of the towns opinion became the best of friends in a time when the town was not willing to accept different races mingling with one another.…

Sports is a big aspect of high school life, especially the sport of football. The films The Blind Side, Remember the Titans, and Friday Night Lights, all revolve around the sport of football and how it manages to change the lives of the athletes. Among these films, the main themes I will focus on will be on the impact of being in a team and the influence an authority figure has on the athletes’ lives. I will begin with examining the theme of being a part of a sports team and how much growth it can have on an individual. At the beginning of the Blind Side, Michael Oher was extremely reserved and did not know how to play football.…

In the first experiment, the acceleration of a falling mini-basketball, the results gathered disagreed with my predicted outcome. Originally, I could not imagine how the graph might appear. I could not visualize an object falling and what its acceleration, position, and velocity might be on the graph. However, after completing the first experiment, I realized that the graphs would look somewhat the same in relation to the basketball since this object was not affected as much as the lighter weight objects (Frisbee and coffee filter) in terms of air drag. The outcomes of all experiments conducted were substantially correct, as they properly evaluated the consequences of objects in respect to drag force.…
