INTRODUCTION
High-rise, high-density living has been embraced as a positive accommodation solution for many millions of people living in Singapore. This assignment outlines a defective of high-rese building in Singapore.

In order to ease population pressure, the Singapore government to build Marina Bay Sands in the one hand to increase the employment rate. On the other hand to increase Singapore economy stimulate growth when everyone comes Singapore to travel.

ANALYSIS AND RESULTS

One common feature of high-rise building is having a steel framework to support other structures. The structure of MBS’s walls are not load-bearing and consist of large areas of windows made possible by the concept of steel frame and curtain walls.

Steel studs attract moisture, especially in Singapore with humid climate. The moisture can into the steel frame if we assume steel are not insulated, and then dewater on wallboard directly. The interior walls will reach a cold spots of moisture behind the wall. It is very expensive to maintain.
