High park fire is an example of nature vs. nature. The high park fire was a wildfire in the mountains located in Larimer County, Colorado on June 9, 2012. The fire was caused by lightning hitting a tree and it began to spread in a different areas. “It was known to be the worst wildfire in Colorado history.” (WildfireToday.com) The fire was so bad evacuations were called because it would impact multiple residential areas. Eventually the fire was put out and many lives were lost, but sadly 87,000 acres were burned. Nature. The Sawmill fire was a few days ago on April 24,2017. It was in Green Valley, Arizona. The fire actually started in Madera Canyon in Pima County and eventually got to Cochise County. Luckily no one was reported injured and no structures have been damaged. The Sawmill fire started to get worse because of winds. “Strong, gusty winds and low humidity contributed to the spread of a wildfire burning south of Tucson that had forced evacuations.” (Azcentral.com) Because Mother Nature had a mind of its own it decided to let the fire get worse with very bad wind.
