High Noon: The Hunter And The Hunt

Have you ever thought that two stories have things different, yet have something in common? In the story High Noon A retired Marshal has to save his town from a man who wants him dead. The Most Dangerous Game tells a tale of a hunter who leans what it means to be hunted. Both of these characters and the settings that they are in are different, but the conflicts that they have to deal with are the same. We can see those differences and similarities vividly throughout each tale.

In both stories the characters show significant differences that make the characters who they are. “Be a realist. The world is made up of two classes--the hunters and the huntees. Luckily, you and I are hunters.”(Connell 3). This shows that the main character Sanger Rainsford is a hunter that thinks of himself and his prey only."I haven't anything to arrest them for, Mr. Trumbull. They haven't done anything. There's no law against them sittin' on a bench at the depot."(Foreman). On the other hand you have Will Kane the main protagonist of this story, has a sense of empathy and compassion for other people even if they are bad.
