2. Based on them being at a beginner level, I would expect them to be able to dribble with their dominant hand, know basic passes, a basic layup, and possibly know the correct shooting form. To be able to see what these coaches expect of their athletes can prepare me to know what my kids are expected to know when they get to that level, so I can start to teach them those skills in advance. I have observed my old high school coach and even the 8th grade coach from the grade school I coach at to better see what’s going on and what’s going on at practices to better prepare me and the girls I coach.
