In cognizance with this, this research is used unveiling whether having a high grit is significant in the achievement of students. As Duckworth (2009) said, intelligence quotient was not the only difference between her best and worst students. Some of her strongest performers did not have stratospheric IQ scores. Others who are considered the smartest were not doing so well. Thus, she concluded that everyone could learn the materials given to them if they work hard long enough.
