The study was conducted on rats, and it found out that a meal which is rich in saturated fat eventually reduces a person's subconscious function which makes them more difficult to control their eating habits. Not only has this, but the researchers pointed out that having fatty foods apparently affects a part of your brain known as the hypothalamus that helps to regulate the hunger.

A meal which is rich in fat can take different forms and there are also different types of fats. Like, Saturated fats are found in lard, butter or fried food. Unsaturated fats are found in food such as fish, avocado or olive oil. Therefore, consuming fish oil in place of lard will make a consecutive difference. The study also displays that the brain function remains normal and carry on curtailing you from eating more than necessary.
Crispino states that the difference was very clear and they were amazed to establish the impact of a fatty diet onto the brain. They said that- “Our results suggest that being more aware of the type of fat consumed in the diet may reduce the risk of obesity and prevent several metabolic diseases”.
