In “Higher Education: Is it worth the cost?”, my argumentative essay, I give my argument as well as multiple counterarguments on the discussion. My argument was that although college is much overpriced, it is nearly impossible to function without a degree in today’s society. I approached this in an argumentative fashion, and I wanted to determine how a thirst for revenge affected a person’s personality. In this essay I think my strength came in my simplistic approach and by not trying to overcomplicate the subject matter. I also used a variety of evidence from the book “Hamlet” to support my claims about Shakespeare’s writing style. Additionally, I think my summary of the book was short but covered the book well. Some changes I would make include a stronger thesis statement along with more advanced use of resources. My topic sentence of the essay should introduce the main idea of the paper, which my thesis failed to do. Although I had an ample amount of resources, I used them incorrectly. I was using them to make points as opposed to using them to using them as a support system for my claims. My largest issue in this essay was my lack of knowledge on how to write a literary analysis
