The North Carolina Board of Education is reporting high college dropout rates across the state. North Carolina will now be among one the few states added to the Estimated 54% dropout rate. As taxes slowly rise with little chances of dramatic increase, The U.S. Department of Education predicts the rates across the United States to remain steady for a while then slowly decline. There are three main causes for high dropout rates in college, first of them being lack of money left over from high taxes, students lack income to manage student loan and financial aid payments. Working double shifts and overtime at the best paying job you can get to pay off the debt and haven’t used your degree plan yet. As a sole Provider, you must work twice as hard to be able to provide for your family.
Effects of these causes are putting our nation at risk little do we know it. Money is being spent by tax payers to see to it that proper grants and finical Aid is being given to those in need. As for those who can afford to take on the bills and complete their education, they will be in debt for the next estimated 5-10 years.
The future is most important at this point and if nothing is being done about this, the education system will fail.
