Hidden Past Have you noticed there are a lot of violent people in the world? Have you ever wondered if they were born naturally like that of if something had happened to them to change their behavior? I believe that for someone to be violent, they would have had to have a traumatizing past. In The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, Abigail was what seemed to be a violent, compulsive liar. She was heartless towards everyone besides John Proctor. A person’s past can majorly influence who they are or how they act in the future. Abby’s witnessing of her parents being murdered affected majorly the type of person she was in the future and her attitude. Abby’s behavior showed that she did have some type of a rough past.
