Hi Journal, Since it is the summer time I am having a blast swimming in my pool, but with one exception I am swimming in my new mermaid tale. Today was my first day swimming in it because it took the past couple months to perfect. While I am swimming in it I hear this simple melody which is at odds with the strength I feel in my lower body. Whenever I swim I feel so powerful as if there are no limits to what I can do.
When I was still recovering from my depression, art became a visual way for me to express my emotions. I loved drawing random pictures as a little kid, but I continued to draw mermaids with scales as I got older. No matter what other pictures I drew, I always found myself drawing mermaids.
