Hi Josi,

Good post. I myself have struggled a bit with intext citations, but thanks to the library, I am quickly learning. The library at GCU makes everything accessable with ease, helping the student save his or her time. I have really enjoyed the writing process, and learning all the key elements such as the hook, and the thesis statement, which I have learned to be argurably the 2 most crucial elements. Good luck with your essay, looks like you have a good understanding of writing.

Although I haven’t gotten feedback on the essay I believe it better fulfills the meaning of rhetorical analysis as it is defined in this class. Part of the problem with my previous essays was that I was using the same formatting as in my high school rhetorical analysis papers which have a more broad definition of rhetoric. So, I tried to shape my essay for what I believe is expected of rhetorical analysis in here. The paper took quite a bit less work and effort to make using the other definition so I am interested in seeing how the results turn out.…

One thing that I would change is the wording when you said” allows them to be a part of the journey of the mystery. ” I understand what you’re saying but it was a little hard because of the wording. Other than that it was a good thesis statement I also like how the thesis makes the reader want to see what you have to say on this…

In writing my paper for the Cause and Effect, Problem Solving essay, I came in contact with a few challenges of my own. One of my biggest problems was the time strain. With working at least twenty-five hours a week, a lot of time that I could be working on school is taken up. Another difficult task I encountered was the citations. For my synthesis essay, I began my initial research by following Harris’s Credibility Accuracy Reasonableness Support (CARS) guidelines and found five scholarly articles that assisted me in my argument. After the drafting and editing process, I discovered I only needed to use three of them: " Truncating Coleridgean Conversation And The Re-Visioning Of "Dover Beach” by Lauren Caldwell, "Englishness, Ethnicity And Matthew Arnold" by Joep Leerssen, and "Matthew Arnold: Between Two Worlds" by Albert J. Lubell. In the first paragraph of my essay I integrated evidence from Joep Leerssen’s article which assisted in the introduction of my thesis statement. My use of quotations and citations within the essay are near perfect.…
