Hi Coryn,
I do agree with you on ERP system is expensive, but it is the best tool to integrate the whole supply chain system of any company. Once the ERP system implemented flow of information moves any direction without any lead times. If ERP system was not available in 1990s, there is intranet system. Many companies were experienced with intranet system and got best results from it. Barilla can develop this system. In my opinion, best supply chain system is a combination of IT technology and planning and efficiency.
