The Vampire Diaries Character Analysis

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be the center of supernatural creatures lives and their plans? I read a part two version of a book called The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith. Officially, a new vampire, Elena is learning how to live her new life after she passed away by driving off a bridge. She was lucky to have vampire blood in her system, otherwise, she would have never come back from the dead. Stefan Salvatore, her boyfriend who is also a vampire, helps Elena survive despite having to teach her how to speak and do common human life skills again. Elena is unsure of how she wants to live the rest of her immortal life as a vampire, but she doesn’t get help from just one of the Salvatore brothers. His strongest character traits are his dependability and love for Elena. In the story, Elena finds out the truth from Damon that Stefan was taken and did not leave helpless Elena. After knowing that Stefan never left on purpose, she knows it was not like Stefan to do so. Stefan made a promise to Elena that as long as they are together, he would never leave her side. Unfortunately, one day he disappears and all that is left of him is a note in Elena's diary that was from the stronger immortal creature that has taken him. He looked away, “I will never leave you.” “Not for a day, not for an hour?” “If that’s what you really want, I won’t leave for even an hour.” (Smith 181). Suspicions were never made when Elena and Stefan talked together. After Elena gets better, she is upset after losing Stefan. Thinking he might be in danger, she does not know what to do. “What I’ve gone through since he disappeared, Thinking every minute he suddenly decided to up and leave me?” (Smith 470).
