Hester Pynee's Character From 'The Scarlet Letter'

We all have flaws, luckily in our day of age our mistakes are not branded upon us. Hester Pynee, main character in the Scarlet Letter had to walk around with an A on her at all times because of one mistake she made. Hester had an affair and happened to get pregnant. Everyone then looked at her as if she had killed someone. She had to live with that mistake for the rest of her life and it was engraved on her headstone when she died. I have made many mistakes in my lifetime, and if I had to pick one to tell it would be that i'm too blunt. I would be branded by the letter B for blunt. Every since I was a little girl I have always spoken my mind. It often gets me in big trouble, but sometimes had made people laugh. It wouldn't be bad if I knew the appropriate time to talk and the appropriate time to be quiet, but unfortunately I don't. This flaw often would make people mad, especially my parents. As soon as someone says something and I know they are just lying about it, or even if I don’t agree with it I will call them out on it. …show more content…
One of my sisters’ friends walked in, acting all sad a depressed, so she got one of those “happy waters” that is suppose to make you feel top of the world. As soon as she took the drink she started laughing and smiling and little me, barely knowing the girl, told her she was full of it. I didn't believe her because she started acting happy before she even swallowed the gulp she took. No one could believe I had said that to her.
