As humans we all poses flaws, some are internal and some are external. We tend to hide our flaws from society. No matter how hard we try at some point our flaws will leak out. Hester Prynne was a young woman who made a costly mistake. By cheating on her husband, she was forced to wear the capital letter “A” on her chest by society. Imagine if we all had to suffer this horrible way of expressing our mistakes. Let’s view an example, a young boys flaw is acne so he is forced to wear the letter A on his jacket, or a young girl was born with a deformity therefore she is forced to wear a capital D on her shirt. My class got the opportunity to step into Hester’s shoes and have a better understanding of how Hester Prynne felt. Unlike the majority of other students, my flaw happens to be my attitude. I can be very mean at times, and people often misjudge my real personality. Don’t jump into conclusions so quickly, there is a reason behind my attitude. The problem is, when I was younger I had many friends who I let into my circle. Friends who I believed at the time I could really trust. In a way, when wearing the letter, I envisioned life from Hester’s prospective. It’s truly amazing the way human’s imaginations operate. By wearing specific clothing or smelling a certain sent can transform our life’s, as well as our imaginations. By wearing the letter, I felt more confident and fierce. Other students may have frowned upon the entire experience, but in a way I feel the experience provided me with a way to develop my problem and at the same time gaining a broader view on physiology. My experience definitely was not as traumatic as Hester’s. My experience as a whole was more positive and liberating, while on the other hand I felt Hester’s was completely
