More planets were later found, and different discoveries of moons and stars for each planets occurred. Since Herschel had said something about rings on the planet, a group of people went to go discover that for themselves, and they found that Uranus does have a ring, which led to the knowledge that there were multiple planets with rings. Scientists also discovered that Uranus has an odd tilt to it. The Hubble Space Telescope continues to discover more rings and things in space that were never discovered before. Many discoveries are still happening and will continue to happen with the advances of …show more content…
I learned that discoveries of planets isn’t an easy process; there are many steps involved, and lots of observations need to happen in order for you to even get desired results. I also learned more about Herschel in the process – his nebulae discoveries, his telescope inventions, and his radiation discovery. There isn’t a reason as to why this topic is significant to me, other than I live on earth and Uranus is part of the solar system. I’ve always thought that Uranus was an interesting planet because of its tilt and vertical looking ring. Just knowing more about the planet more than before I researched it is significant, because now I feel like I understand part of God’s creations
