My next step after establishing the plot was to create a storyboard. The storyboard required much design because I had to make executive decisions regarding which scene should be drawn to depict each stage of the Hero’s journey. The design required in my storyboard proved to be the most influential in guiding my later additions to the project. Pink described design as being the “combination of utility and significance” (Pink 70) and from drafting my storyboard I had to decide which scenes were not only vital, but also capable of best representing the flow of the narrative.
