A hero is known as one who has been admired or idealized for his or her courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Many heroes have similar stages throughout their adventure, although they do not necessarily encounter the same situations. In the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Rey, the main protagonist, sets upon an unexpected journey in a galaxy far, far way, where she faces the many challenges of a Hero’s Quest. She is shown in her Ordinary World on the planet Jakku, Meets the Mentor, the legendary smuggler Han Solo, and finally faces her Ordeal against Kylo Ren, the grandson of the Sith Lord Darth Vader.

This was when Rey “came across a seasoned traveler on the journey” (Vogler, Hero’s Quest Cycle), and Met the Mentor, Han Solo. Han Solo was a smuggler and captain of the legendary Millennium Falcon, the ship that Rey and Finn were on. He was also one of the leaders of the Rebel Alliance alongside the legendary Luke Skywalker. Rey and Finn were astonished the ship they were on was the Millennium Falcon, and the man in front of them was Han Solo himself. Han Solo began telling them stories about his journeys with Luke, and why Luke had set out on exile. After defeating the Empire, Luke began training a new generation of Jedi. However, one of his students and the apprentice of the leader of the Fist Order, Kylo Ren, turned back on him and destroyed everything he had. Since then, the First Order, an evil group trying to kill Luke Skywalker, were attempting to destroy him and the Resistance, a group trying to find Luke. He told her she would need it on her journey ahead, and she promised to take good care of it. Han then introduced Rey and Finn to a wise woman named Maz Kanata, who sensed that Rey was the “Chosen One”, a term described to one who would bring balance to the Force. Just then, the First Order attacked Takodana and kidnapped Rey. Although the Resistance arrived to save the rest of the people, the First Order ships had already flown away into space. The Resistance then planned to attack their base, Starkiller Base, and rescue Rey. When Han and Finn secretly sneaked into the base, they found the captain of the stormtroopers and forced her to disable the shields so that the Resistance could destroy the base. Just then, they found Rey who had escaped the
