Heroism within Peace “Imagine all the people living life in peace...” John Lennon portrays a hero due to his powerful voice on peace-activism, being an inspiration to society in regards with his role model-like personality, and having a positive influence on the music industry as whole. John wanted one thing in this world, he wanted the world to live in peace. Considering John’s desire for peace, he became a peace-activist to spread his positive beliefs. He used his iconic music to help spread what he believed in; He produced songs such as “Give peace a chance”, “Working class hero”, and “Imagine” for the anti-war movement due to the Vietnam War. John and his second wife, Yoko Ono Lennon, held a 2 week-long non-violent protest called “Bed-In”. One was located at Hilton hotel in Amsterdam and the other one was at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. This was done to promote peace in the world against war, and used as an experimental process. He also performed a live concert for John Sinclair who had also been a peace-activist, as many as 15,000 people attended it due to protesting the imprisonment of Sinclair. “You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one..”.
