Was Sammy being heroic? I think yes because he defended the women when Lingle was criticizing. Even though they were dressed inappropriate for the store Sammy still stood up for them.
Next was Sammy being selfish because he wanted to date one of them. I don't thinks so because the women didn't even acknowledge him. After he quit the girls just walked out, and didn't even thank him.
