They are the true heroes because they are the ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice. No matter how they died, they are the ones who should get the big ceremonies, awards, and recognition.
So what makes a true hero? It’s the selfless service the one gives to their country knowing the possibility of being sent to war and never retuning home alive. We don’t do it to become a hero; we do it because we believe it is the right thing to do and we want to protect his country from those who want to harm it. It’s about sacrificing our time with family and friends, missing birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays because we truly believe we can make a difference. Being a hero is not an easy task and if anyone ever tells you it is they are lying.
Next time you hear someone being called a hero, just think of the people who don’t get the recognition that they deserve. A true hero will never admit they are one and will always pass that label to someone they believe deserves it more than
