A hero is someone who shows great courage and is admired for their brave acts, while a vigilante is someone who appoints themselves law-enforcer and protector of their community, and they can be a hero while carrying out their duties. Rikki-tikki is a vigilante because he appoints himself protector of the garden, enforces law and order in the garden by killing the snakes, and is a hero while carrying out his duties. One characteristic of a vigilante is appointing themselves protector of their community, and Rikki-tikki appoints himself protector of the garden and the family, which is his community. Rikki Tikki is a courageous and inspiring character in this story. Rikki jumped on to nag back and fought him (para 58-59).The character trait is that Rikki is not afraid to battle. This helps my thesis because he fought Nag to save the family and that means he loves them and when he won he got courage when he beat Nag. However wise and old they may be, care to follow a cobra into its hole. The evidence demonstrates the character trait because he goes in the nest even when he knows that he could die, but he has courage.…

Some people do not know that they are even someone’s hero. When a person has the power to stand strong and fight for what they believe in they too can be a hero. These are the type of people that give others hope and save lives each and every day.
