The word, hero, is mostly affiliated to words such as strength, alien-like powers, someone who can do the impossible, and many more. In my belief, being a hero does not mean that you have to those previously stated characteristics in order to be one. As long as you have reasonable and moral standards, anyone can be a hero. In this medieval romance poem, "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight", our hero, Sir Gawain did not fit the guidelines to be socially considered as a hero but by his actions he defied the standards and at the portrayed to be a true hero.
